“Be cheerful no matter what; pray all the time; thank God no matter what happens. This is the way God wants you who belong to Christ Jesus to live.” I Thessalonians 5:16-18 (MSG)
Thanksgiving! The official opening of the holiday season is finally here. We all have so much to be thankful for…and so do you! As you continue to move past the drama, don’t allow fear to push you into a corner of ungratefulness. Ungratefulness can lead to greater resentment, hardening of the heart, and unhappiness. So embrace every blessing that God sends your way. Every morning you wake up is a blessing. Be thankful and trust in the wait.
Be thankful to God because your problems are just stepping stones to something better!
Be thankful because you can share your experience and encourage someone else.
Be thankful because you are no longer a victim of circumstance. You have unleashed the beauty behind the mask. You hold the power to take your life back!
Be thankful that you are free to explore and write the next chapter of your life.
Be thankful for family and friends in your circle who stood by you; supported you; and encouraged you through difficult situations.
Be thankful for the hugs and prayers, the shoulder that someone gave you to cry on, and the ears that someone lent to you for listening, when no else cared.
Be thankful for endurance because your life has been on pause, but you are standing strong, resilient, and moving forward.
Be thankful for faith to believe that all things work together for the good of them who love God.
Be thankful because you didn’t commit a serious crime against anyone. You probably could have and wanted to really bad. But you love life, and you did the most honorable thing, which is to walk away. Thank God.
Be thankful because the hurt is not as heavy today as it was yesterday.
Be thankful because new dreams and opportunities await for you!
Be thankful for the quality time of being alone because it gives you more time to think about yourself and how to get your life back on track.
Be thankful for the power of letting go and moving on, one day at a time.
Be thankful for forgiveness.
Be thankful for your journey because it allows you to reflect and change directions if needed.
Be thankful for being thankful because you are becoming more appreciative of the little simple things in life.
“Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” Psalms 75:1 (KJV)
