“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” I Cor. 13:13
The message and celebration of Easter is the heartbeat and life of every Christian. We rejoice just thinking about his resurrection and knowing that He is alive, and His life continues in us!
Easter is a time to reflect and think about the events and sacrifice that Christ endured for the atonement of our sins.
As we reflect on our life, some days we experience difficult times and overwhelming circumstances that tests our strength and faith. We become angry and distraught because our plans didn’t go the way we expected. We think about other life issues that take us by surprise. However, none of these can compare to the agony that Christ experienced on the cross! Jesus knew of his death, just like he knows everything about you!
Retracing the steps of Christ during the week of his death was intensely exciting and dramatic! The Holy Week (Palm Sunday) began with the Messiah’s triumphant entry into the city, feasting, happy hosannas and celebrations! During the same week, tensions surrounded the fate of our Messiah as he was arrested , beaten and suffered death by crucifixion (Good Friday).
The crucifixion is a reminder of a great LOVE that He has for us. “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:13
The empty tomb teaches us FAITH to believe in miracles and the impossible. “He is not here, for He is risen as He said! Come, see the place where he lay” Matthew 28:6
The resurrection gives us a renewal of HOPE – a time to reflect and believe that His promises are true! “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” I Peter 1:3
We all desire to find true love and happiness. May the Gifts of Easter bring transformation, newness of life and refreshed inspiration into your relationships and fulfill your deepest heart desires!
Be inspired to breathe!
