Making the right choices with God

Trust God

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)

Life is a series of lessons and choices. When it comes to learning life’s lessons, we have a choice to do things the easy way, or strain at a gnat, swallow a camel, and do things the hard way.

Because we are imperfect people, we get so wrapped up trying to do things our way, and fail to ask God about His way.  Instead of asking God for guidance in the decision, we get impatient, panic and make a mess trying to solve it with irrational thinking and quick fixes. When the decision-gone-bad explodes, we blame God!

“People ruin their lives with the foolish things they do, and then they blame the Lord for it.” Proverbs 19:3 (ERV)

We have to make decisions to solve problems and take advantage of opportunities. This is life! However, every decision we make comes with a truth or consequence. The results of good or unfavorable choices has the ability to change our attitudes, thoughts and behavioral patterns!  God has given us the ability to make good choices in every situation if we only ask Him to direct our thoughts and paths. In order to please God, we should make choices that are pleasing to Him.

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!” Proverbs 3:5-6 (MSG)

Life choices are tough! I know this all too well! The easy way to learn life’s lessons when facing difficult decisions is to trust God completely; let God do it;  focus; tune out negativity and distractions; pray for godly advice and listen for His instructions. God will give you the courage to face any challenges with clarity. There is nothing too hard for God! He is always ready to protect us from sabotaging ourselves!

Love God and be inspired to breathe!
