God’s word has a lot to say about our life, including our health. Whenever our bodies are filled with pain, aches and illness, we will react by doing one of four things: call the doctor, take over-the counter medicine (thank you Lord for Ibuprofens), mix up our very own concoction for a quick remedy solution or just ignore the pain in hopes that it will taper off.
Prayer should be the very first thing to do when we need a touch from the Master. Yes, we must rely on the wisdom and knowledge of physicians of medicine to do their part. As followers, we must also do our part and put our faith, hope and trust in the hands of Jesus, the Great Physician. Whatever the source of our desperation is in time of need, we can look to God for help. Pour out your thoughts, emotions, doubts and anything else to Him. He looks on us with compassion and meets us where we are. As we commit ourselves to Him, we can be confident of His healing virtue. Believe in His healing power. Trust that He will answer out of His great love and compassion.
Matthew 9:20 – 22 And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
